“I enjoy driving around Sydney and seeing projects I have worked on take shape and become part of the history and fabric of this great city we live in.”

One such project was the Royal North Shore Hospital, which I was privileged to work on when I first arrived in Australia. At the opening I was fortunate enough to meet some of the people who benefited from what we created – which really adds meaning to our work.

Approaching a complex project can feel a bit like a giant puzzle. We collaborate to analyse the big picture, then work as a team to pull all the pieces together, whilst continually checking to make sure everything fits.

When I am not at work or thinking about work, I like to keep busy mountain biking, doing F45 and playing field hockey.

As the NSW Structural Engineering Leader, Dale leverages extensive experience as a senior design engineer working in Africa, UK and Australia.

Dale has designed structures in the industrial, residential, commercial, retail and health sectors and has been involved in the coordination, financial planning, structural design, documentation and supervision of a variety of projects.

He is experienced in design and management from the concept design phase up to, and including, the construction stage and the supervision of teams of design engineers, detailers and draftspersons.
